Venues: Magistrates

Magistrates is a versatile venue housed within the original Magistrates Courthouse built in 1912. There are three function rooms available, each with its own special appeal, offering many options for events. Dawsons is the exclusive caterer at Magistrates and can arrange and manage all aspects of your event.

The Judge's Lounge is ideal for informal cocktail events, weddings or corporate functions, and makes a fantastic birthday party venue for up to 120 guests. The elegant and understated decor allows your guests to relax and enjoy the occasion.

The Jury's Dining Room offers an intimate space for private dinner parties, weddings or corporate dinners for up to 100 guests. This elegant room with its high ceilings and large arched picture window gives a sense of grandeur and the outlook to Albert Park provides a beautiful backdrop.

The Counsel's Meeting Room is a spacious and inviting alternative to traditional conference centres or hotels and can offer all the same facilities. Step down the marble staircase or take the elevator into the spacious lobby that is ideal as a breakout area or for refreshment service. This versatile space provides many options for your next corporate function or conference.
