Venues: The Kelliher Estate

Set on the privately owned Puketutu Island in Auckland's Manukau Harbour, The Kelliher Estate is a truly exceptional and magnificent property for gala dinners, weddings, cocktail functions, themed events, conferences, product launches.

A causeway across the harbour leads guests up the drive lined by Phoenix Palms to the Homestead. Originally built by Sir Henry Kelliher, the Homestead has been painstakingly restored to its former glory. The following facilities are available individually or in combination to realise the full and splendid potential of The Kelliher Estate.

The Gardens
A grand drive lined with stately Phoenix Palms leads up to the Kelliher Homestead through extensive landscaped and woodland areas in a blend of sub-tropical and native styles. Harbour and sea views beckon through mature Pohutukawa. Lawns, garden terraces, waterfalls, ponds and an historic Falé provide a wonderful range of additional entertainment spaces.

The Kelliher Homestead, built in the Spanish Mission style, has been returned to its former glory. The Drawing Room, The Long Room, Dining Room, Library, Den, Bridal Day Suite and Boardroom exemplify expectations of the highest level. An expansive Terrace leads guests out to The Grand Lawn. Intimate dinners and lunches in the Dining Room, elegant cocktails in the Reception and Long Room, guests spilling out onto the Terrace and Grand Lawn.

The Phoenix Room
Nestled in the grounds close to the Homestead, the name of this room reflects the prevalence on the Estate of mature exotic tree species such as Phoenix Robelini. Construction of the Phoenix Room was completed in November, 2007. Banquet Seating - up to 250, Cocktails - 400.

The Stables
A charming and tranquil setting with views across fields, enclosed by historic stone walls, to the Island foreshore. Ideally suited to smaller meetings and seminars, and for small luncheon and dinner occasions.

However grand or intimate the occasion, Dawsons can design your wedding as little or as much as you would like. Be it a sunrise ceremony and champagne brunch, cocktails and dance celebration or a formal degustation dinner, the Dawsons consultants bring a level of passion and commitment that's second to none. Bridal couples can enjoy the splendor of the Bridal Suite after their celebration by staying overnight, with a private Butler to look after their needs.
