Bishop Selwyn Chapel

The Bishop Selwyn Chapel is the newest venue at Holy Trinity Cathedral. The glass-walled Chapel, designed by Auckland architects, Fearon Hay, overlooks the Trinity Gardens and the Selwyn Oaks. It also boasts a spectacular view of Maungakiekie/One Tree Hill. Hidden from public view, the Bishop Selwyn Chapel lends a sense of privacy whilst retaining the sense of grandeur of the Cathedral in a modern setting.

The Holy Trinity Cathedral

The Bishop Selwyn Chapel, a multi-purpose venue able to accommodate a wide variety of services and events, was dedicated and opened on 21 August 2016.  This remarkable space has three walls of glass, a curved gilded ceiling, and offers views over the 8.3m high garden cross to the volcanic cone of One Tree Hill beyond.
